$Usually I don\'t do \'cute\' but ... ;-)$ $These are actually purple martin\'s that live here at the dock and I just realized that I have ignored these funny buggers for too long!$

$Crab wasn\'t enjoying the bear back tho. Got this female this morning from my kayak.$ $An oldie but goldy, I guess. Nothing in this photo is technically perfect but like in so many occasions mother nature just provided something beautiful and amazing. The backlight was awesome, even throwing a shadow of one wing onto the other. You can see the foot-splashes of the previous swans getting up to speed to lift of this river and all the water droplets they left in the air. I\'m feeling so blessed whenever I can experience these moments!$ $After a tricky return from the winter quarters in Portland I couldn\'t resist to stop at my fav beach before getting home. I was welcomed by a rare sight of decent snow as well as numerous bald eagles. More than I was expecting while just feeling happy about having completed the drive as well as being back. I\'m in the fortunate position of living somewhere where bald eagles are quite abundant which has led me to not really liking to post any \'eagle pictures\' unless they\'re somewhat special. This one stuck out to me as I like the geometry of the branches, the whole \'attitude\' of our eagle, the light shining on him as well as the out of focus moon in the background. Would have been great if I would have given the moon a bit more focus but I guess I was more in the moment then in \'pro-mode\' ;)$

$The other week I stepped off my sailboat, aiming for some seascape stuff. I didn\'t get very far until I noticed some spouting going on right at the dock where my home is tied up to. Turned out that a pod of Orcas were on some sort of mission and seemed to have a lot of fun playing as well as harassing the birds that were swimming on the water :)$
